SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE, AUSTRALIA, 2009
Seeing the Opera House less than two hours after our plane touched down was the perfect way to start our honeymoon. Everything about the building impressed me, the architecture, the story, and the location. I can’t pick a favorite Australian city, Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart fight for first place in my eyes, but the Opera House gives Sydney an edge that no other world city has.

AUSTRALIAN HONEYMOON, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, 2009
Six months after we said our I Do’s in Jerusalem, Daniella and I honeymooned in Australia for an entire month. Every three days we boarded a plane and visited another part of the vast and beautiful continent down under. First stop, Sydney (and the Opera House).

“SHABBAT SHALOM”, BAT AYIN, ISRAEL. NOVEMBER 2007.
My absence from the internet was not laziness - my wife and I were enjoying the honeymoon of our lifetime in Australia and plenty of photos will follow. While the photo I’ve posted here is not our home, this is the view from my mother’s home, taken as the sun set one Friday afternoon, ushering in the Jewish sabbath.

PALM DESERT, CA, USA. FEBRUARY 2008
A year ago, I was in California where I ‘met the parents’ and proposed to my now wife. A few days later we spent the weekend celebrating in Palm Desert. This photo said it all, the cigar, the ring, the six-sampler-tray from the Yard House that we shared. Time has flown, and we grow happier and closer every day.

JERUSALEM’S OLD TRAIN TRACKS, BAKA, ISRAEL, MARCH 2007
The carefree days of 2007, when my camera and I would spend our days walking the streets of Jerusalem and capture whatever caught my eye. A lot has changed in two years, both in my city and my life, but on a day like today when the sun shines and the grass sways in the breeze, some things are just as they used to be.

AZA STREET, JERUSALEM, ISRAEL, 2007
Jerusalem Day, 2007, the rain came down in sheets, much like it did for yesterday’s election day (February 10, 2009). The country is in desperate need for rain, so it’s a cause for joy, even if it ruins a day off!

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL, MAY 2008
February 10, 2009. Israel goes to the polls for the third time in nine years, giving me my second chance to democratically elect the leader of our disputed little corner of the earth. I took this shot nine months ago when Israel celebrated the start of her sixtieth year, and every street corner was decorated in Blue and White.
I am yet to vote, but by the time polls close today, I’ll have made up my mind and put that little white slip in the box.
